The sampling contents include product microbial indicators, total bacterial colonies, coliforms, total number of fungal colonies, and pathogenic purulent bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus hemolyticus.

In 21 production enterprises, 23 batches of products were sampled, and the test results showed that 22 batches were qualified, and the pass rate was 95.6%. The other batch of unqualified products exceeded the total number of bacterial colonies, and the corresponding manufacturers had already accepted the punishment and carried out Corresponding rectification.

Liu Jingwu, MD, from the Hangzhou Health Supervision Institute, said that the problem wet tissue mainly exists in the circulation.

“We sampled the Wet Wipes of 384 circulation units such as catering units, supermarket stores, pharmacies, etc. Among the 240 products that we collected for inspection, 47 were unqualified, and the pass rate was only 80.42%. Said Dr. Liu.

Among the 47 unqualified wet tissues, 19 problems were found on the label. The internal products should be moisture-containing and not dry; inferior wet wipes often have odors, and there are obvious fluffing during use, and some even have mildew, which is irritating to the skin and causes itching and pain.

Second, the wet towel package should have the product name, manufacturer name, address, and health permit number. The product label (including the instructions) and the promotional content must be true and must not appear or imply a therapeutic effect on the disease.

Third, attention should be paid to the production date and expiration date of the product or the production batch number and the limited use date. Do not purchase or use wipes that have expired or are not marked for expiration.

Fourth, pay attention to check whether the outer packaging of the product is intact. Never buy or use the damaged product to prevent secondary contamination.

In addition, in recent years, with the continuous development of catering and tourism in Hangzhou, the demand for disposable wet wipes has been increasing.
